When the homeowner’s decided to gut this dark and cramped kitchen, they started the process by gathering photos of kitchens and finishes that spoke to them—creating an “inspiration binder” to organize their needs and desires for their new kitchen. They brought their inspiration photos (which the found from a variety of sources on the Internet) to their first consultation with us and explained which details they wanted to incorporate into their new space. This was a huge help in establishing the design, layout and general direction of this kitchen remodel.

The homeowners loved the idea of white-on-white-on-white palette of this kitchen to serve as a clean and serene backdrop for their glassware and antique decor.

They knew they wanted their kitchen to have “rustic” elements juxtaposed against white surfaces to create a “chic-country-farmhouse-bistro-feel.”

They specifically sought to incorporate the rustic aspect of their design with open shelving against a white tile wall.
The homeowner’s LOVED the idea of bringing white subway tile all the way up to the ceiling.

White cabinetry, black hardware, tons of white subway tile, glass door fronts, white marble counters, natural wood elements and many other aspects of this beautiful kitchen were all must-haves for these homeowners.

The homeowner’s vision also included dark grout to contrast with all the white surfaces they were selecting.

The homeowner’s were inspired by the bright, airy and inviting palette of this kitchen. They also loved how they incorporated many different finishes and surfaces, i.e., both marble and wood counters, two different cabinet colors, etc.
